Obituary For Virginia A. Felteau

Peabody – Virginia A. (Neen)(Warry) Felteau 92, beloved wife of seventy years to the late Richard T. Felteau, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Flynn) Warry. She received her education in the Lynn school system and graduated from St. Mary’s Girl’s High School in Lynn, class of 1948.

As a young woman, Mrs. Felteau had been employed at the General Electric Company in Lynn. Following her marriage, she moved to Peabody where she lived for over 69 years and for the past year lived with her daughter and son-in-law. She dedicated her life to raising her family.

An avid golfer, Mrs. Felteau was the co-founder of the Women’s Golf League at the former Middleton Golf Course and had completed her golf career at the Bass Rocks Country Club in Gloucester. She was the sole survivor of the “Jesamines” which was a group of eight woman from St. Mary’s Girls High School, Class of “48” that met faithfully every month for over sixty-five years. Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody where she served as president of the St. John’s Mother’s Guild. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Warden and her husband, Gregg of Rowley, two sons, Richard Felteau and his wife, Lois “Louise” of Georgetown and John Felteau and his wife, Noreen of Peabody, six grandchildren, Grant Felteau, Sabrina Felteau, Matthew Warden and his wife, Susannah, Alexandra Warden, Jacqueline Lynch and her husband, Matthew, Jonathan Felteau and his fiancé, Hannah, three great grandchildren, Bella Speed, Grace Warden and Graham Warden, a brother, Charles Warry and his wife, Patricia of Mashpee and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Phyllis O’Reilly and her husband, Leo and John Warry and his wife, Catherine.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Sacred Heart Church, in memory of the Warry Family, 571 Boston St., Lynn, MA 01905.
