Obituary For Walter Sarowsky

Peabody – Walter Sarowsky 92, beloved husband of the late Vinetta (Kirlis) Sarowsky, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Homenny) Sarowsky. He received his education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Sarowsky had been employed for many years as a foreman for the former Eastman-Kodak-Gelatin Company in Peabody until the time of his retirement.

As a young man, Walter was an avid bowler and later in life enjoyed taking long walks. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Anna Condon of Salem, two grandchildren, Matt Condon and his wife, Quinn of Georgetown and Cheryl Pepper and her husband, Joe of Danvers, four great grandchildren, Christopher Condon, Milo Condon, Adalynn Pepper and Brooklynn Pepper. He was also the father of the late Jimmy Geanoulis and was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center, c/o the Friends of the Peabody Council on Aging, 75R Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.

    I was so very sorry to read about Walter's passing. He was a very nice man with a wonderful Family. I was also very shocked to hear that my wonderful Jimmy had also passed way. May they both rest in peace with their sweet Vinetta.
