Obituary For William E Macullar

William E “Bill” Macullar, 62, of Ipswich, died unexpectedly on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at his home. He was the devoted husband of Andrea Maglio-Macullar with whom he shared over 27 years of marriage.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Harvey Sumner and Elisabeth (Leib) Macullar. He was raised and educated in Lynnfield and has lived in Ipswich for the past 24 years.

Bill was a mechanic and shop manager for the United States Post Office in the Boston and the North Shore area for over 39 years. He was an active participant in the Dinner Bell Program, an avid boater and a past member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as well.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jody Macullar of Lynn, his sister, Betsy Sheldon of Wakefield, and by several nieces, nephews and Maglio family of Lynnfield.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Our Lady of Hope Church in Ipswich to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ipswich.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to Ipswich Dinnerbell, P.O. Box 259, Ipswich, MA 01938.
