Obituary For William J. Fratoni

Peabody – William J. Fratoni 33, formerly of Gloucester, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Joseph Fratoni and Marilinn Mayer. He was raised in Salem and Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 2008.

Bill had been employed for the past year at Brooksby Village in Peabody where he enjoyed the residence and his coworkers.

A longtime resident of Gloucester prior to moving to Peabody, Bill enjoyed bike riding, spending time with family and friends, visits to New Hampshire and had a great love for animals, especially wolves.

Bill was like a big kid and he had a great personality. He was always trying to find a way to make you smile or laugh. He loved his friends and family, and is now at peace; reunited with both of his parents and with God.

He is survived by his sister, Jessica Fratoni of Gloucester, a nephew, Gage as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Billy was a joy . His big heart and laughter would make anyone near laugh . It's sad his life was so short and his laughter is silenced. Billy will certainly be missed; but ; never forgotten. Sleep well, young man.

Billy, as I knew him, was always a little boy in my eyes. Even after I hadn't seen him for several years and Marilinn brought him to my house to say hello, he was still Billy! Maybe a bit furrier and fuller, but still smiling and being the little Billy I always remembered. Billy, give mom a great big hug for me! God Bless you all!
