Obituary For William S. Bailey

Bradford – William S. Bailey 60, beloved husband of Catherine (Walsh) Bailey, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late William H. Bailey and Shirley E. (Martell) Paulino and step-son of the late Leo Paulino. He was raised in Danvers and received his education in the Danvers school system.

Bill had owned and operated Bailey’s Landscaping in Peabody for the past twenty years. He had also worked in the service department for AAA of the Northeast. Prior to that, Bill had worked at Salem Hospital, Bailey’s Towing in Danvers and for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department in Middleton.

A resident of Bradford since 2017 and prior to that in Peabody, one of his greatest joys was taking care of his lawn and gardens at home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife with whom he share nineteen years of marriage, he is survived by three daughters, Amy Bailey of Rockport, Jennifer Raftery and her husband, Sean of Danvers and Kelsey Pinto Ribeiro and her husband, Joao Tiago Pinto Ribeiro of Manchester, NH, one son, William Bailey of Western, Michigan, five grandchildren, Landon and Gavin Raftery, Ryan, Julia and Nicholas Tremblay, a sister, Lynne Hathaway and her husband, Richard of Peabody, two brothers, Kevin Bailey and Albert Bailey both of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his three loving dogs, Brandy, Zadie and Bear.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.     Although i only knew him for a short time here at AAA Bill will be remembered for his strong personality and attitude. Always busy having something to do, putting in hard work even though it was not required of him. Bill will be missed by all. My condolences to his wife and children and to all of his family.
