Fatima (Aguiar) Hobart-Geer, 65 of Spring Hill Florida and formerly of Peabody, died Thursday December 17 at the Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville, FL following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late George Geer. Born in Terceira, Portugal, she was the daughter of Maria (Ramos) Aguiar of Peabody and the late Silvino Aguiar. She was raised and educated in Portugal and later immigrated to the United States with her family where she lived in Peabody for many years and has spent the last 15 years living in Florida. Fatima was a mental health counselor at Salem Hospital for over 15 years before moving to Florida 15 years ago. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and had a love of animals, especially for cats. She is survived by her son, Mark Hobart of Peabody, her two daughters, Laura Batista of Spring Hill, Fl and Danielle Hobart of Salisbury, her sister, Sylvia Hosman and her husband Michael of Peabody, her beloved 7 grandchildren, Madyson Hobart, Payton Miville, Zoey Pastorello, Aubrey Hobart, Bentley Hobart, Cody Hansen, and Liam Russo, and is also survived by her two nieces, Mikayla and Gracie Hosman. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well.
