Obituary For Anne-Marie (Dolan) Yeo
Anne-Marie (Dolan) Yeo 79, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Sunday April, 9 2023 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Dennis Stephen Yeo, Sr, with whom she shared over 37 years of marriage. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Gilbert) Dolan. She was raised in and educated in Chelsea and Everett and has lived in Peabody for the past 50 years.Anne-Marie is survived by her two sons, Dennis Yeo, Jr and his wife Beverly of Atkinson NH, Patrick Yeo and his wife Barbara, her two daughters Krisann Yeo-Bermani and Heather Singleton, all of Peabody, her sister Kathleen Dolan of NV, her beloved four grandchildren, Patrick Yeo,Jr and his wife Justine, Morgan Yeo, Katie DaSilva and her husband Nelson, and Shianne Yeo, her four great grandchildren, Kyle and Ava DaSilva, and Jack and Millie Yeo, and her niece Mellissa Cunningham of NCAnne-Marie worked full time her entire life until her retirement from the Town of Topsfield two years ago, at which she spent fifteen years. Previous to that, she helped provide for her family stocking vending machines overnight, doing tax returns part-time for H & R Block and even opened her own business in the 1970’s, a novelty shop called Dee-Ann’s. She was also a large part of her husband’s Dennis’ companies, D & A Catering and Yeo Trucking. She also worked for many years at Lynn Sand and Stone, Bardon Trimount, and Essex Aggregate.. When asked one day “what three words would describe you best?” Her reply was “consistent, independent, and persistent”. She was all of these and so much more. You always knew where she would stand, she didn’t need or want your help and kept working hard for her entire family. After her husband Dennis passed away in 1998 at such a young age of 53, she dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved visiting her granddaughter Shianne, where she would play games, (somehow Nana always lost). Shianne held a very special spot in Nana’s heart for sure. She also loved to watch her great grandson Kyle play soccer, and enjoyed visiting on nice days, where she would sit and watch Kyle and Ava play in the yard. She was also an expert sock folder. She would spend hours helping Katie with the hundreds that were unmatched. She loved when her great grandson Jack would come and visit on Tuesdays. She and Jack would share a bowl of grapes. She also got to hold and spend time with the newest addition to the family, Millie. Anne-Marie was the Matriarch, the glue and the heart beat for the five generations during her lifetime. She also gave the best hugs!
