Obituary For Arthur N Stavropoulos

Arthur N. Stavropoulos, 79, of Danvers, formerly of Salem and Peabody, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Beverly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Geanoulis) McNamara of Danvers with whom he spent 25 years of marriage.

He was born in Salem on July 15, 1944, and was the cherished son of the late Nicholas and Bessie (Mihelis) Stavropoulos.

Arthur was an active member of the St. Vasilios Men’s Club of Peabody.

He loved the beach and books, as he spent many hours reading. He enjoyed the art of photography but, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by his daughters, Nicole Stavropoulos English and her husband Thomas of Derry, NH and Stephanie Stavropoulos of Salem, MA; his grandchildren, Anthony Scaletti and his fiancé Lauren Branzetti, Ashley and Benjamin Scaletti, and Anastasia “Tasia” Stavropoulos; his brother John Stavropoulos and his wife Elizabeth of Hookset, NH; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sadly, in addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his sister Pauline Stavropoulos.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
