Obituary For Camilla M. (Baribo) Tierney

Peabody - Camilla Mary (Baribo) Tierney, 73, of Lawrence, formerly of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Royal Wood Mill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrence. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Tierney.

Born in Peabody on December 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Stephen F. and Camilla (Dorgan) Baribo.

Camilla was a graduate of Rivier College and taught in the Peabody school system for many years. She also worked as a manager for Verizon and in that capacity was able to lead her team and travel all over the country.

She is survived by a step-son, Brendan W. Tierney as well as nieces and nephews. Camilla was predeceased by her brother, Stephen A. “Rocky” Baribo, her uncle, Rev. Gerard Dorgan, and her aunt, Mary Collins.

Camilla’s Guardian would like to thank the staff at Royal Wood Mill for their compassion and caring for Camilla for more than a decade.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Friday, January 19, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.

    I remember Camilla from our days at Fenwick. She was a very sweet girl , good friend and of course excellent student. I've looked for her at every reunion. Healing prayers for her family.
