Obituary For Cynthia J. "Cindy" Andrews

Cynthia J Andrews, “Cindy,” 57, of Peabody and formerly of Essex, died unexpectedly on March 1, 2022, at her home. Born in Ipswich, she was the daughter of the late Alan F. Andrews and Beverley Castle.

She was raised in Essex, and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1982. After High School she went to ITT Technical School, and also had a Bachelor of Science degree from Salem State University. She has resided in Peabody for the last 17 years.

Cindy worked for Epsilon Data Management doing software support for over 25 years. She was very involved in many volunteer organizations, among them, North Shore Elder Service and Amirah. She had a great love of animals and supported numerous shelters, fostering many animals over her lifetime.

She was a wonderful friend to many. Friends from early childhood, those she made through her volunteer efforts, neighbors, and co-workers alike, loved and will miss her kind and caring heart. She was an extraordinary aunt to her many nieces and nephews. They fondly remember her coming to ball games, concerts, making crafts, and hosting many sleepovers.

Cindy is survived by her siblings, Glenn Andrews and his wife Brenda, Jeri Terenzoni and her husband Dan, Linda Maurais, and her husband Roger, Gary Andrews, and Dawn Woolfolk and her husband Howe, and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Kristen Andrews, Leah Woolfolk, Nate Terenzoni and his wife Irene, Michael Carney and his wife Maria, Casia Martens and her husband Stefan, Hannah Woolfolk, Colin Carney, Keane Terenzoni and his wife Rebecca, Thomas Woolfolk, Dori Soden and her husband Michael, Sam Woolfolk, Elizabeth Maurais, Tori Maurais, and Nell Woolfolk, as well as 5 great nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Amelie.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to Northeast Animal Shelter at www.NEAS.org, or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.org.

    Saddest day ever, Cindy was the kindness type person that I could ever met while growing up in Essex. She never had a bad word to say about anyone nor could you find one about her. the last time I saw her she was still looking about 25 although she was in her early 40s.     Cindy was a good "neighbor" when I worked at epsilon with her. I'll never forget her kindness in organizing my retirement party. She made sure I got the ice cream cake I wanted! (memories of our trips to Dairy Queen) I am so sorry to hear we have lost her. My sincere condolences. - Mary Meehan
