Obituary For Estelle E. Revelotis
Lynn - Estelle E. Revelotis, a well-known, lifelong resident of Lynn, recently passed away at her home. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. Revelotis and late Despina “Betty” (Chipouras) Revelotis, and sister of the late Dennis C. Revelotis.
Estelle attended Lynn schools and received an Associate Degree from Fisher College in Boston.
Estelle was secretary to Reverend Charles L. Mihos at the Saint George Greek Orthodox Community of Lynn for many years. She retired from the Lynn Public Schools Clerical Department. Estelle loved to volunteer for the Greater Lynn Chamber of Commerce, Girls Inc. of Lynn, and North Shore Latino Business Association. She also enjoyed ushering at the Lynn Auditorium and gathering with family and friends.
Estelle belonged to many organizations in Lynn, among them the Lynn Historical Museum, Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach, the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Foundation, Philoptochos – Saint George Ladies, and Order of Ahepa.
Estelle was presented a letter of recognition by the Metropolitan Methodios of Boston and the Metropolis of the Boston Council for her faithfulness, dedication and many years of service to Reverend Charles L. Mihos and the parishioners of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church of Lynn. She was also honored by the City of Lynn for being “a tireless volunteer in the community at large”, and the Lynn City Council proclaimed June 20, 2017 as “Estelle Day.”
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sophia Revelotis and her nephew, Dean Revelotis, both of Middleton, MA, several cousins and numerous friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A visitation will be held at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston, 162 Goddard Ave., Brookline, MA 02445 or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
