Obituary For Gregory Haidaczuk, Jr

Gregory Haidaczuk, Jr, of Rochester, NH and formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday December 26, 2023, at the Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Donna (Clark) Haidaczuk with whom he shared over 46 years of marriage.

Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Gregory and Sophie(Kohut) Haidaczuk. He was raised and educated in Peabody and has been a resident of Rochester, NH for the past 13 years.

Gregory served with the United States Army for three years active duty during the Vietnam Era, three years inactive duty and received an honorable discharge. He also served in the National Guard for 5 years. He later worked for over 17 years, at the former Peabody Glenn Nursing Home in Peabody, first as a maintenance man and later as an activity aide before retiring years ago.

Besides his loving wife, Greg is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Melissa and Ron Ransom of Peabody and Niki Haidaczuk of Rochester NH, a son Michael Willette of NH, his siblings, Jim and his wife Leslie of Newburyport, Bob and his wife Audrey of NY, his sister Anne Marie and her husband Jim Douglas of Florida, his two grandchildren, Stasia and Talon Ransom, his grand “fur babies” Grover and Molly, and by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews and his honorary daughters Michelle Correnti and Andrea Carlsen. He is predeceased by his brothers John, Raymond, and Richard “Dick,” Haidaczuk.

Greg was a funny, well loved guy. He always had a kind word, a song or a wisecrack for everyone he encountered. His family was his world and that included a lot more than blood relations. The world will be a little dimmer without his wink and smirk. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by graveside service with military honors at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 R Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody at 1:15 PM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I worked with him for years at Peabody Glen, he was the best maintenance man and then became the best activity person. He was so kind and helpful to everyone, he had a great sense of humor and was wonderful to all the residents. The staff loved him and the resident adored him. Greg was a good man, may he RIP Cathy Shea

Donna what can I say. My Gregie was a fantastic man. His sense of humor was so overwhelming you couldn't help but love him. And we wouldn't want him any other way. And that's how he wanted people to be with him. He'll get better meatballs in heaven from my mom she'll have them waiting for him. Thoughts and prayers. Susie
