Jane L. Harkins, 66, a lifelong resident of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Peabody on October 1, 1957 and was the cherished daughter of the late James and Ethel (Conway) Harkins.

She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School. After high school, Jane went on to become a CNA and was employed for many years at the Danvers State Hospital and Rosewood Nursing Home where she received The Compassion Award for her dedication to her many patients. She recently retired from the Torigian Senior Center where she enjoyed dancing, singing and caring for her “friends” at the Adult Day Health Center. Jane enjoyed golfing and was an avid Boston sports fan. She loved cheering on her Red Sox and Patriots and was proud of the multiple championships they have won over the last two decades. She enjoyed spending time with her friend Debbie’s dogs, Shelby and Jenny but most of all she loved spending time with her family laughing and living life to the fullest.

Jane is survived by her seven siblings, Kathy Roy of Peabody, Jimmy Harkins and his wife Wendy of Derry, NH, Danny Harkins of Peabody, Carolyn Carter and her husband Paul of FL, Mary Ellen Ferguson of FL, Philip Harkins of Peabody and Peggy Harkins of Peabody; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and her lifelong friend Debbie Doyle.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody, on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 1PM to 4PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 3:45PM.
