Jennifer Lynn Wheatley, 47, of Peabody, died Monday evening surrounded by her family at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of Robert O and Sandra (Stavropoulos) Wheatley. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, she later attended URI and received her bachelor’s degree in 2003.

Jennifer had worked various jobs over the years and most recently as a caregiver for the elderly.

While in high school, Jennifer played Field Hockey, Basketball, and Softball and in college played on intramurals teams as well. After graduating from college, Jennifer played for two years in the Women’s Professional Football League for the All-State Warriors.

Besides her loving parents, Jennifer is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Following cremation, a Graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
