Lynn – Joan Emily (Vachon) Bastone, 88, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Care One Rehabilitation Center in Peabody.

Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Delfond) Vachon. She received her education in Lynn school system and graduated from Lynn English High School. She continued her education, earning a bachelor’s degree from Cooper Union Art School in New York, class of 1964.

Mrs. Bastone had been employed for many years as an administrative assistant at Fidelity Investments in Boston, until the time of her retirement.

Joan had a passion for painting and art. She also ran a film club in Boston. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her “little angel,” Lauren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, cousin and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Morrical and her partner, Mark Reilly, her cherished granddaughter, Laruen Morrical and her fiancé, Felippe Gorgati, her cousins, Pat Masiello, Lee Henderson and her husband, Dave, Jim Sardella, Linda Ryan and Kristine Eker and her husband, Rick.
