Judith Hope (Sovulis-Therrien) Isom, 84, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving daughters, following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Isom with whom she shared 28 years of marriage and resided in Peabody.

Born in Lynn, Judy was the daughter of the late Bernard and Eleanor (Patten-Sovulis) McCluskey. She was raised in Lynn and Nahant and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

Following her high school graduation, Judy met and married the late Alfred Therrien and raised their five children in Peabody and shared 25 years of marriage.

Judy was employed in the Accounts Payable Department at both North Shore Children's Hospital and Salem Hospital for over 15 years. She then went to work at North Shore ARC in Danvers where she eventually retired after 7 years in 1994.

A longtime resident of Peabody, Judy was a member of the Peabody Historical Society and a longtime and faithful member of the Second Congregational Church on Maple St., in Peabody where she was a proud member of their choir. She enjoyed her Sundays at church and cherished her church family and the friends she met during her many years there. Judy was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautiful garden and was a member of the Peabody Garden Club. She also was a self-taught, talented artist who gifted much of her artwork to family and friends.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are three daughters, Tammy Hamilton and her husband, Rob of Tewksbury, Tracy Brown of Peabody and Heather Palomo and her husband, Andre of Tewksbury, a sister, Linda Mills Barnes of Tewksbury, two stepdaughters, Sandra Sheehan of Hanover and Nancy Isom of Foxboro, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Ronald J. Therrien and Robert D. Therrien, grandmother of the late Ashley Louise Therrien, sister of the late Steven and David Sovulis and stepmother of the late John T. “Jay” Isom Jr. and Richard W. Isom.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
