Lloyd Gerald Pedersen, 96, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Myrna L. (Torrey) Pedersen with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage until her passing in 2011.

He was born in Peabody on March 11, 1927 and was the cherished son of the late Soren and Lucy (Burns) Pedersen.

He enlisted in the army Air Force after High school and served in Korea for 2 years at the end of World War II. After returning from service he met and married the love of his life. Starting at GE as an apprentice in 1947, he worked his way up to drafting manager, eventually retiring after over 40 years. Summers spent with friends and family on Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire were some of his favorite times. He was a man of many hobbies including woodworking, stained glass, bocce and even taking up drums at an advanced age. His passion for camping has been passed down through the generations of his family and will remain as a source of togetherness.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Sharon Pedersen of Peabody; his grandchildren, Jennifer Pedersen, Heather Bourque and her husband Jeff, Erika Giwa-Amu and her husband Harold, Danielle Akiva and her husband Peri, and David Pedersen; his great-grandchildren, Macey and Evan Bourque, and Emi Giwa-Amu; his sister-in-law, Betty Pedersen; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Sadly, in addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his son, Eric Pedersen; and his brother, Thomas Pedersen.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 12PM at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St, Peabody, MA. Kindly gather at the main cemetery gate at 11:45AM.
