Margaret Ann“Peggy” Cassidy 70, loving companion to Daniel B. Davis Jr., died Friday, April 19, 2024 at Salem Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Margaret K. (Gogan) Cassidy. She received her education in the Lynn school system and graduated from Lynn English High School, class of 1971.

Margaret had been employed for many years as a sales clerk at Macy’s Department Store in Peabody until the time of her retirement.

A longtime resident of Lynn, Margaret was an avid reader but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving life partner, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to Daniel, her loving partner of over thirty five years, she is survived by a daughter, Abby Contreras and her husband, Richard of Peabody, a son, Todd Cassidy of Providence, RI, two step-sons, Daniel Davis and his wife, Nancy Kim of Lynnfield and Ryan Davis and his wife, Tricia of Peabody, six grandchildren, Jake Contreras, Vera Davis, Ayla Davis, Zoey Westerfeld, Noah Davis and Bryson Davis, three sisters, Ellen Robitaille and her husband, Dennis of Topsfield, Paula Reardon and her husband, Paul of Lynn and Ann Thomeczek and her late husband, Daniel Thomeczek of Peabody, two brothers, William Cassidy Jr. and his wife, Jackie of Uxbridge and Richard Cassidy and his wife, Lynne of Titusville, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Jake Davis.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
