Peabody - Marjie F. Nagle, 71, left this earth on April 22, 2022.

Marj was a passionate person. When she loved you, you knew it, and if you did something she perceived as wrong, you knew that too. She always defended the underdog in her loudest voice and was proud to be a frequent guest in the dark corridors of Facebook jail. She was quick witted with a dry and sarcastic sense of humor. Marjie always left you laughing.

Marj adored animals. She would spend her last dime for a bag of seed to feed the squirrels, or raccoons, or birds. All of her cats were rescues, and it was important to her to find the cat that needed a home the most. She surely had a reception on the Rainbow Bridge that blew her mind.

Marj worked for several years at the Independent Living Center in Salem as a peer counselor and disability rights advocate. She also owned and ran an organic, biodegradable cleaning business. She was a gifted writer, singer, and musician.

She is predeceased by her dearest friend, Beth Moulton, and her beloved kitty, Charlotte. She leaves behind her loving cousin, Carol Farren, her dear friend, Paula Eaton, and so many other friends that truly loved her.

The PACE program was a strong support for Marjie to work on her health, have access to shopping, and get social and transportation services. It was an important resource for her, and a place to gather with friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation of money, time, or tangibles to your local animal shelter in Marjie's honor. She would've really liked that.
