well, its been a few days since you've past on, and there are no perfect words for a life that was cut short, but as we all share memories of our life's interaction with Mary, i think back to holidays and special occasions that would bring the family together. Mary and I would get into discussions about many things including the third rail of politics,,even so she was as gentle as her voice and tempermant, no matter the topic. a life cut to short is always heartbreaking, but when its personal as with family and friends it is always harder to cope. may your light shine in heaven mary thoughts and prayers everlasting..

Dear Sal, Giuseppe, Salvatore and Mike, We were all very saddened to hear of Mary Ellen's recent passing. As we look back over the years we have nothing but fond memories of her cheery smile and caring disposition. She was a true ray of sunshine. And we have always looked upon her as a devoted mother to her boys and and a loyal companion to her husband of 30+ years. We spent a good many hours in the rinks and on the sidelines of the playing fields and Mary Ellen was so supportive and gracious whenever we spent time together. Life was pretty hectic then with full time work and then having all the boys involved in different sports but she was a reliable transporter, trooper and a great co pilot I am sure. She cannot be replaced but she will always be treasured . Our thoughts have been and will continue to be with you all at this difficult time when you have to say farewell. RIP MaryEllen Zarro--we will surely miss you.

I never actually had the pleasure of meeting Mary Ellen but we worked closely together over the last two-ish years virtually. There was never a time where we weren't laughing together, either at the situations we were tackling together or at little inside jokes we made along the way. She was always positive and willing to lend a helping hand. Even with all she had recently endured, she always kept the best of spirits and was still concerned about others! Knowing her and working with her was definitely an honor and a blessing. My sincerest condolences to the family and prayers for peace and comfort.

Mary Ellen made my three years at the Globe a joy and I'm heartbroken at her passing. She would stay long on calls to ask about the chickens I was raising, and last I spoke to her, I promised her pictures of the new chicks we planned on getting. I just got 10 new birds yesterday, I'm sorry she didn't get to see them. She was a gem, and a positive influence to everyone she interacted with. So sorry to the family.
