Mary Louise Scrivano, 91, of Peabody, formerly of Chelsea, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023.

She was born in Chelsea on February 13, 1932 and was the cherished daughter of the late Alexander “Sam” and Louise (Sparks) Voltero.

Mary worked very hard to provide a happy, secure and loving environment for her children. She managed to give them the resources to further their educations and encouragement to pursue their goals. She was proud of their achievements and those of her grandchildren. Mary loved to travel. A few of her favorite places were England, to see The Queen, Australia, Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands. Mary enjoyed trips to the casino and playing bingo with her friends. She loved her cat, Lexi and the family dogs Mocha and Ronan.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Valerie Chambers of Peabody; her son, Tony Scrivano and his wife Linda of Revere; her grandchildren, Christopher Scrivano, Carissa Karakaedos, Kasey Chambers, Kaitlyn Scrivano and Kelly Trainor; her adored great-grandchildren and her cat, Lexi.

Sadly, Mary was predeceased by two of her children, Richard and June Scrivano; her brother, Steve Voltero; and her son-in-law Charlie Chambers.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street Peabody, on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 9:15AM to 11:15AM, followed by a procession to St. Adelaide Church in Peabody for her Funeral Mass at 12PM. Interment will be at Puritan Memorial Park in Peabody. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org
