Words cannot express my heartbreak to learn of Mindy's passing. We were childhood friends who went off to college and then lost touch with one another, other than brief connections through Forrest and Claudette from time to time. Our lives with our families became our focus. I have many fond memories of spending time with Mindy, but one memory that stands out is a practical joke she played on me. We were young and were staying at her house on Cloverdale Street. Claudette had gone on an errand and Forrest was working (not sure where Michael was). We had been roller skating in the basement and I went upstairs to use the bathroom. As I was leaving the bathroom I heard these awful screams coming from the basement (from Mindy) and I went into a panic! I wasn't sure whether I should call the police, so I went over and picked up the phone. All of a sudden she started laughing her head off! Ooh I gave her a piece of my mind - then I started laughing with her! She was forever doing things like that. That is why it is so fitting that her birthday was April 1st. In that same light, I was inspired to play pranks on my own kids every April 1st (albeit a bit less harrowing than that prank!). Haha. Mindy, my friend, I wish we had stayed in contact over the years. It looks like God blessed you with a beautiful family, from the wonderful video tribute I saw. Rest in peace my dear dear friend! -Love Robin

I'm so sorry for your loss!! Mindy was my next-door neighbor growing up in Pittsfield MA on Cloverdale St. She was my oldest sister's age and they were friends. Even though I was the little sister, Mindy included me and I remember her holding me so I could go Into the pool and swim. I was young when her family moved away, but I always remembered her and how kind she was so me. When I made my confirmation in Catholic Church, I chose the name "Melinda" for my middle name because of Mindy.

To Brian, Mike, Forrest, Claudette and all the Manning & Harrigan families, we want to send our heartfelt condolences. No words can describe the sadness we feel for you. I am privileged to say that Mindy and I grew up as next door neighbors from maybe 6 years old. Every day we all played between our houses a variety of games and events. She was always happy, friendly, and very competitive. I loved her western mass accent and she always tried to keep us in check when the boys got too rambunctious playing kickball or street hockey. Mindy, you will be sorely missed by all. Love, George & Patricia Gonnella

My sincere condolences to all who loved and knew Mindy. She is part of my earliest years of friendship dating back to junior high. Many great moments spent and shared, back when we had phone 'busy' signals, waitiing for rides and finding fun in the gathering, no matter where. So very very sorry, may you find comfort in your love and memories. Tricia (Pat) Mosson
