Obituary For Neal Anthony Price
Neal Anthony Price, 72, of Peabody died early Wednesday October 4, 2023, at the Brudnick Center in Peabody following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the devoted husband of Susan Lee (Dedrick) Price with whom he shared over 52 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Patrick Christopher and Loretta Jean (Cunningham) Price. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School (Class of 1969). He continued his education at Providence College (Class of 1973) and received his Master’s in Personal Financial Planning from Bentley University later in life.
As a beloved businessman and generous employer, Neal was the founder and senior partner of Neal A. Price and Company, LLP and retired in 2018. Neal lovingly raised his family in Peabody and was continually active in the community as a board member of multiple organizations to whom he devoted decades of service including Peabody Little League, Peabody Babe Ruth, Peabody Youth Football/ Pop Warner and the City of Peabody Park Commission. He was also the co-founder of the Challenger Program and the Peabody International Baseball League.
A cherished father, brother, grandfather and uncle, he is survived by his two sons, Patrick Price of Portsmouth, NH and his fiancée Erica Summerlin, and Matthew Price of Peabody; his two daughters, Leigh Ann Berry and her husband Thomas of Haverhill, and Katherine Price of Peabody; his two brothers, Paul Price and his wife Constance of Lynn, and Peter Price of Wakefield; his sister, Christine Antaya and her husband Paul of East Haddam, CT; his beloved grandchildren, Caleb Price, Aidan Price, Devyn Berry, and Jack Price; and by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Neal spent many treasured moments with his family and friends golfing at Wenham Country Club, vacationing in St. Maarten and North Conway, and attending the Providence College Friars Basketball games.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lynn. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Mary’s School, 35 Tremont St, Lynn, MA 01902.
