Obituary For Pamela Mary Thomaszvic

Pamela Mary (Manos) Thomaszvic, 69, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning surrounded by her family at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of William Thomaszvic with whom she shared over 39 years of marriage.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Theresa M (Vistorino) Manos. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1972. She later graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College.

Pamela was a military wife and devoted mother to her boys, who were her world. Once her boys were raised, she worked various jobs over the years from assistant manager at Eastern Bank, to kindergarten teacher and later retired as administrative assistant to the Dean of A House at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.

Pamela was kind, warm, and thoughtful, and she always found joy in the small pleasures in life. Pamela had many hobbies including doing puzzles, arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening and listening to the Beatles. She enjoyed going to the beach and collecting seashells and seaglass. Pamela was also a huge animal lover, from her own pets to the bunnies in her garden.

Besides her loving husband of 39 years, she is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Rachel Thomaszvic of Swampscott and Justin Thomaszvic of Peabody and by many dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 2nd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 3rd at 12:00 PM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. If desired, expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to either the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970 or to Dana Farber Cancer Institute 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
