Obituary For Pauline F. Langley

Peabody – Pauline (Tracchia) Langley 94, beloved wife of the late Robert Langley, died Thursday, February 1, 2024 following a brief illness.

Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Barone) Tracchia. She received her education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School.

Mrs. Langley had been employed for twenty-eight years as a teacher’s assistant at the Higgins Middle School in Peabody until the time of her retirement.

A lifelong resident of Peabody, she was a member of the Blue Knights and had volunteered as a coach for the Midget Softball league in Peabody. She also enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and photography. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are two daughters, Carol Lytle and her husband, Paul of Florida and Janice Langley of Peabody, three sons, Kenneth Langley and his wife, Joanne of Florida, Peter Langley and his wife, Karen of Bradford and Stephen Langley and his wife, Virginia of Peabody, four grandchildren, Michael Langley, Nicole Chase, Gina Vaysburd and Casey Langley, three great grandchildren, Lily Chase, Mila Chase and Kira Vaysburd, two brothers, Charlie Tracchia of Haverhill and Eddie Tracchia of Malden and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John, Nick and David Tracchia.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Haven From Hunger, 71 Wallis St., Peabody, MA 01960 or the Peabody Senior Center, 9 Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.

    Pauline and I worked in the same classroom together for 15 years. I have never met a more dedicated professional than Pauline. She always put students first.     Janice, Peter, Stevie, Kenny, Carol and families, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. A wonderful lady, always there to offer encouragement and a smile during our sporting events. Some of my favorite memories are of her playing softball with my Mom back in the day.     I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Langley's passing. I was one of her students in 1992. I remember her as being so kind and full of smiles. Sending you all my sympathy.
