Raffaele “Ralph” Joseph Cravotta, 94, of Peabody, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Constance (Rizza) Cravotta with whom he shared 66 years of marriage with until her passing in 2022. He was born in Boston on August 18, 1929, and was the cherished son of the late Joseph and Maria (Ingala) Cravotta.

Besides being the happiest when he was surrounded by his family, Ralph enjoyed many years of camping, where along with his wife, they made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, listening to old music, and watching musicals and westerns. He also loved watching the Red Sox, Yankees, and Patriots. Any time you were around him, you could expect to hear stories about when he was younger or about the days he spent in the Navy, of which he was so proud. Ralph had a natural sense of humor and an infectious smile that people loved. All said, to know Ralph was to love him.

Ralph is survived by his children, Sandra Scafidi and her husband Martin of Peabody, Joseph Cravotta and his wife Diane of Henderson, NV and Traci Freeman and her husband Michael of Union, KY; his grandchildren, Dana, Jessica, Daryl, Nicole, Kathryn and Christopher; his great-grandson, Joseph; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sadly, in addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Phillip Cravotta, Filippa Cravotta, Phyllis Interbartolo, Mary Livolsi, Salvatore Cravotta and Elena Lally.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5PM to 8PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11AM in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street Peabody.
