Rochester, NH - Raymond A Snell, formerly of Northwood, NH, and Peabody, MA, age 85, sadly passed away on December 28th, 2023, at home after a short illness. He was a beloved husband and survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Diane B (Keith) Snell.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Raymond B. and Maude (Beaulieu) Snell. He was raised and educated in Peabody, graduated from Peabody High School class of 1956, and has been a resident of Rochester, NH for the past 7 years. He served in the National Guard for 10 years and received an Honorable Discharge.

He worked as an automotive machinist most of his life and as an automotive equipment salesman. Raymond was also self-employed, owning his own business in the automotive industry.

After retiring, he enjoyed his favorite hobby of restoring and driving classic cars. He Loved his Ford Mustang, Olds 442, and 1934 Ford sedan delivery. He enjoyed going to car shows, swap meets, and drag races with family and friends.

Raymond is Predeceased by his son, David Snell, and 2 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law; Laurie Spheekas and her husband, James of Haverhill, MA and Shirley Reynolds and her husband, Brian of Casa Grande, AZ; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nephews, and loyal friends and extended family.

We will miss his quiet demeanor, smile, love for automobiles, and his history lessons of World War II.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Visiting hour will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A burial with military honors will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
