Obituary For Raymond F. Blasczak

Raymond F. Blasczak, 83, of Peabody, formerly of Beverly and Melbourne Beach, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Roberta (Patenaude) Blasczak with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

He was born in Lynn on November 27, 1940 and was the cherished son of the late Felix and Rita (Morin) Blasczak.

Raymond worked for the City of Beverly for many years, first in the Parks and Recreation Department and then later doing signal maintenance in the Electric Division of Public Services Department. He enjoyed his model train sets, playing cribbage and an occasional puzzle.

In addition to his wife, Roberta, Raymond is survived by his son, Christopher Blasczak and his wife Cherry of Danvers; his grandchildren, Cassandra and Zander Blasczak of Danvers; and his sister-in-law Virginia “Ginny” Blasczak of Tennessee.

Sadly, in addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Leonard Blasczak.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2PM to 4PM followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 4PM. Interment is private. At the family’s request please OMIT flowers. Donations may be made in Raymond’s memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St. Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
