Rosa Maria (Marques) Erickson 70, beloved wife of the late Richard N. Erickson Jr., died peacefully in her bed after battling cancer on Monday, October 30, 2023. At the time of her passing she was living with her daughter and was surrounded by her family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Filomena (Silva) Marques. She was raised in Danvers and Peabody where she graduated from Peabody High School. She continued her education at the University of Massachusetts Boston and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Salem State College, Class of 1975. In July of 1975 Rosa married the love of her life Richard N Erickson and moved to Beverly where she lived for over forty-five years and raised three children.

Rosa was employed in the Banking industry for over thirty years before retiring.

Rosa is survived by her three children, Richard Erickson, III, his wife Christina, their son Hunter, Christopher Erickson, and Jennifer Erickson, a sister Esabel Levesque, her husband George as well as her niece Aimee Levesque and many more nieces and nephews.

Rosa enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, decorating for the Holidays as well as various activities including going shopping, hanging out at the beach, and watching TV with her daughter Jennifer.

ARRANGEMENTS: Rosa’s funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
