Rosina Cahill, 83, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 11, 1940 in Nicosia, Sicily, Italy and was the cherished daughter of Silvestro and Guiseppa (Marello) Romano.

Rosina grew up in Sicily she came to the UNITED STATES when she turned 29. Rosina had many jobs through out her life. She loved to knit and travel. She loved living in Gloucester and the water.

Rosina is survived by her son, Andrew David Cahill and his wife Lisa-Marie Ciampa-Cahill of Salem; her grandson, Andrew John Cahill of Gloucester, sister-in-law, Nicoletta Romano in Sicily, Italy; her nieces, Daniella Romano of Beverly and Maria Manning of Gloucester; and her great nephews, Jacopo and Kevin.

Sadly, in addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Andrea Romano; and her sisters, Nanetta and Maria Mineo.

At the family’s request her services were private.
