Obituary For Violet "Vi" L. St. Pierre

Peabody – Violet “Vi” L. (Larocque) St. Pierre 97, beloved wife of the late Norman A. St. Pierre, died peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Brudnick Rehabilitation Center in Peabody surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Ida (Theriault) Larocque. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Salem.

Vi had been employed for twenty-three years as a cafeteria worker for the Peabody school system until the time of her retirement in 1989. Prior to that she had worked as a secretary for GTE Sylvania in Salem and prior to that at CBS Hytron in Salem.

A longtime resident of Peabody, Vi enjoyed being around people and was very social. She volunteered at the Thrift Store at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody, was a member of the Senior Center in Peabody and you could find her every Election Day working the polling stations. Vi loved a gathering and could always be counted on to liven up a party. Most of all, she enjoyed being around family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are three daughters, Susan George of Lynn, Joyce Dallaire and her husband, David of Peabody and Joan St. Pierre of Johnson, VT, ten grandchildren, Dennis, Glenn, Kelley, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Marc, Nicole, Melissa and Shawn, sixteen great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Skyler, Mason, Alexandra, Isabella, Analiese, Matthew, Tyler, Scarlett, Oliver, Eva, Eden, Logan, Brailynn and Alaynna. She was predeceased by her husband Norman and her sister Pauline Saraceno. She also leaves behind three nieces, two nephews and many friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 3 Margin St., Peabody, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
