Obituary For Virginia T. Catalfamo
Peabody - Virginia (DiLiberto) Catalfamo, 99, died peacefully in her home in RI surrounded by family.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, Virginia grew up in Everett, MA. She was the second youngest of seven children and the only one to graduate high school. In 1949 Virginia married Charles Catalfamo. Together, they raised a family in West Peabody, MA and later in life enjoyed time in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Virginia became a widow in 1990. After a life of working primarily in electronic quality control inspection, she turned her attention to helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A devout Catholic, Virginia attended daily mass until she was physically unable to do so and turned to mass on television. She was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and her Italian cooking.
She is survived by her children, Cathy and (Paul) Meehan Anthony Catalfamo and Ginny and (Kevin) Brennan She is also survived by her grandchildren: Caren Lundgren, Kim and (John) Barrows, Rick and (Rachael) Lundgren, Michael Meehan, as well as Ginette and (Jim) Van Knowe, Tony and (Jeanne) Rosato, Nick Catalfamo and by their mother, Elaine Catalfamo. Additionally, she is survived by Kerri Catalfamo, Christopher Catalfamo, Emily Catalfamo and Eliza Brennan as well as her great-grandchildren: Bella Lundgren, Sofia Lundgren, Ricky Lundgren, Gianna Lundgren, Charlotte Barrows, Olivia Catalfamo and Charlie Catalfamo. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
