I remember when Miss Dunn became Mrs Story as I was her student at West Memorial School. Later, I had the privilege of meeting, Bill, and clearly understood her happiness. Bill was a sweet gentleman, great teacher and a true asset to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory is a blessing. Andi Block Spinale

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Story's passing. He was a terrific teacher, one of the best and most memorable I had at PVMHS (class of 1975). He genuinely cared about his students, and encouraged us to think independently, always using humor and empathy.

Bill was a wonderful man and will live forever in the hearts and minds of family, friends, students and virtually anyone that ever knew him. We wish we could be there in person for the services, but were closing on a home in AZ yesterday. Our hearts and prayers are with the entire Story Family. God bless.. And cheers to a wonderful man and a wonderful life. Love, Gary, Jennifer, Dean & Claire Richard

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Story's passing. He was one of the few teachers at PVMHS who taught us how to think, not what to think. One of my favorite teachers! May his memory be for a blessing.

I am so sad to hear about Mr Story's passing. He was my English teacher in 1973-74 and my favorite teacher of all time. His dry, intelligent humor was great fun and his talent for teaching has always stayed with me.

I didn't know Mr Story personally but I knew who he was. He had his own Professional Landscaping business for years with a pickup truck and let me tell you that is real work. A fine citizen. I could use about 30 million guys like him. Rest in Peace. Mr Story.

It's been nearly 45 years since I graduated from Peabody High School. I have forgotten most of my former teachers' names but not Mr. Story's. I can still hear his voice telling his 11th grade English class that he changed his name to Mr. Story when he became an English teacher and was previously a Math teacher named Mr. Equation and had taught History as Mr. Treaty. He also joked that poetry was named after Poe. Rest In Peace Mr. Story. You made learning fun. I was honored to be a "Row Captain.*" Joseph Silva *Row Captain were the students that sat at the front of each row of desks. PVMHS-1978

So sad Bill is no longer with us. Jim and I so enjoyed getting to know him at Brooksby Village. His talent as a writer was impressive. I slept with one eye open after reading one of his mystery books. Bill learned Italian and I loved conversing with him. Ciao, Bill Jim and Elaine McSweeney

I first knew Mr. Story, as my English Teacher at Peabody High. in the early 1970's, he later became my colleague as we both worked at PVMHS until his retirement. He had a calm way with his students as well as his colleagues. His demeanor, sense of fairness and passion will be missed by those that got to know him.
